The former Porto star has admitted that he has spoken to other clubs. But would not mind remaining with the Reds on his current deal until 2027, with the possibility of an extension.
“I’m very happy at Liverpool, they’ve treated me very well since day one.” said Diaz, who has been with the club since the start of 2022.
“We’ve talked to other clubs, it’s normal in the transfer window. If Liverpool extend my contract or I have to stay for another two years on my contract, I’ll be happy. It’s up to them.”
The main alternative to Diaz appears to be Marcus Rashford. Should the deal for Diaz become too expensive or impossible. Then they will likely move for the Manchester United forward. Kingsley Coman of Bayern Munich and Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli are also on their shortlist.
